Every PLANET machine is driven by three independent hydraulic motors — one for each roll — interconnected through Parmigiani's exclusive HTT (Hydraulic Torque Transfer) system. Rather than relying on a single drive source distributed across rolls, the HTT system automatically compensates for differences in peripheral speed between rolls based on the profile size and bending radius in real time. The result is optimal torque distribution across all three rolls throughout the entire bending cycle, regardless of section shape or material.
Each hydraulic motor couples directly to its driven roll through a planetary gear transmission, delivering higher driving torque than competing machines while ensuring smooth, consistent material feed.
