DPO-MAP Series
The Parmigiani DPO-MAP series is a high-speed dishing press paired with a fully automatic manipulator, engineered to form tank heads and dished ends from flat metal blanks ranging from 1 ft. to 40 ft. in diameter. Available in capacities from 150 to 2,000 tons, these units deliver the speed, force, and precision required for high-volume head production across industries including pressure vessel manufacturing, petrochemical, energy, and heavy fabrication.
Built entirely in Cremona, Italy by a company with nearly a century of forming expertise, each DPO-MAP unit combines a massively rigid welded frame with advanced hydraulic controls, synchronized press-and-manipulator operation, and the proprietary STRADIVARI® CNC Playback System. The result is a dishing operation that a single operator can run from one centralized control panel — producing consistent, high-quality dished ends at dramatically reduced cycle times.
Technical Details
Heavy-Duty Frame Construction
Every DPO-MAP frame is welded from quality-certified steel plate sourced from western European mills, with each plate individually verified through ultrasonic testing. Welds undergo both magnaflux and ultrasonic inspection, and every frame component is heat treated for stress relief after welding and before final machining. Matching surfaces are individually machined on CNC milling machines to ensure precise assembly alignment.
The frames are heavily oversized by design — built to absorb all working stresses internally without transmitting any load to the foundation. Frame deflection is held to an absolute minimum, giving these machines the structural backbone they need to deliver consistent results year after year under the harshest production conditions.
