FM Series Flanging

The Parmigiani FM-Series is a line of heavy-duty tank head flanging machines built for industrial fabricators who demand precision, repeatability, and long-term reliability. Designed to form the curved and flanged ends of pressure vessels, storage tanks, and industrial containers, FM-Series machines handle heads from 200 mm up to 12,000 mm in diameter, with plate thicknesses ranging from 2 mm to 80 mm and knuckle radii from 15 mm to 1,500 mm. Backed by nearly a century of forming machine expertise, these are among the most capable flanging systems available on the market.

FM-Series flangers are available in two configurations — the FM-hy for heads with a center hole, and the FM-hy wch for heads without — and support the full spectrum of head geometries used in pressure vessel fabrication, including torispherical, semi-elliptical, hemispherical, conical, and flanged flat heads. Components are sourced exclusively from top-tier global suppliers including Siemens, ABB, Bosch-Rexroth, INA, and SKF, and every machine is manufactured and inspected under strict quality standards certified to UNI EN ISO 9001:2008.

Every FM-Series flanging machine ships with a comprehensive set of standard features designed for operator efficiency, machine longevity, and production reliability:

  • Electric drive on the knuckle roll, upper clamping carriage, and lower head-holding carriage — all via inverter-controlled motors
  • Knuckle roll tilting and angular adjustment
  • Forming rolls machined from alloy forged steel, heat treated for compatibility with stainless steel workpieces
  • Flanging roll fulcrum adjustment
  • Swiveling lower guide rolls (3-way adjustable), height-adjustable from the control panel
  • Hydraulic cylinders on both the upper clamping and lower head-holding carriages, each adjustable in height
  • Upper and lower carriage travel on maintenance-free linear bearing guide-ways driven by maintenance-free ball screws
  • Rapid traverse control for fast idle positioning between passes
